Romantic date on the deck

Hi everyone!  I'm hoping to inspire you today and start your week off with a fun idea to plan for you and your special someone. :)  My husband and I have a 14-month old, and are currently living on one budget.  Sometimes, it might seem like these factors make it a bit difficult to go out on a date.  However, we have found there are ways to be romantic right at home!  This past weekend my husband set the scene for a romantic night "out" on our back deck for the two of us.  It was sweet and one of my top favorite dates ever.  The best part was we didn't even have to leave home, and our baby slept soundly inside.

So, what were the details?  Well, we had grilled food which makes for easy clean-up, and set the table with a white tablecloth and large candle we already had.  We sat on our back deck and took in the sights and sounds of the evening (and the baby monitor too :) ).  We enjoyed a leisurely dinner after our little one was already in bed.  We were able to talk and connect.  We plan on doing this again!
