Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit

Today's recipe is super quick but oh, so tasty! This is a breakfast we like to have on the weekends. Weekdays we are an oatmeal, boiled egg, or toast family so it's nice to break out of the routine on Saturday mornings.
Very little is needed for this recipe. It tastes so much better than the biscuits you might get at McDonald's or some other fast food place.

Ingredients:
Sausage (although the "light" sausage has less calories it is full of unrecognizable ingredients! Look for the sausage with as few ingredients as possible)
Egg
Cheese
Biscuits (we bought the canned kind for this but you could make your own for an even healthier version)

Directions:
Cook sausage in patties in frying pan or electric skillet. Prepare biscuits and cook in oven according to package directions if necessary.
Crack one egg in a one cup glass measuring cup. Stir with a fork about 30 seconds. Put measuring cup in microwave and cook for 45 seconds. You will end up with a nicely cooked egg patty!

Slice some cheese and assemble biscuits! Layer one piece sausage, egg, and sliced cheese on biscuit and top with other biscuit half.

Happy Eating!
Sara :)
